League Rules

There are several general types of leagues. Each general type has rule variations, such as scoring system, starting lineup requirements, etc., so read the rules carefully. If you have any questions, Email the Commissioner.

Draft Leagues – Standard 10, 12, and 14 team head-to-head leagues with a serpentine style draft to initially allocate players. Rule variables include flex/no flex starting lineups, Basic, PPR, or Bonus scoring, IDP leagues, and varying entry fees. Some draft leagues are “Live”, with a timer of 2 minutes per pick, and typically take three hours to complete. “Slow” draft leagues have a timer of 18 hours, and typically take two to three weeks to complete. Semi-Slow draft leagues have a 6 hour timer, and typically complete in one week.

Auction Leagues – Standard 10, 12, and 14 team head-to-head leagues with an auction to initially allocate players. Live Auctions are conducted using ESPN.com's Fantasy Football and typically take three hours or less to complete. Slow auctions are held on the Myfantasyleague.com league site over a 2 or 3 week time period. Rule variables include flex/no flex starting lineups, Basic, PPR, or Bonus scoring, and varying entry fees.

Draft-n-Go Leagues (or Auction-n-Go) – 10, 12, 14 team leagues with no transactions and no starting lineups to submit. Initial roster allocation is done via draft or auction, and then the rosters are frozen. The starting lineup is the highest scoring players for the week. This format is ideal for owners in multiple leagues that don't have the time to manage several teams during the season.

Points Plus Leagues - New this year! Points Plus leagues are a hybrid between total points only leagues and head-to-head leagues. All teams compete from weeks 1 through 10 on a total points basis. After week 10, the top 8 scoring teams advance, with the remaining teams being eliminted. Scores are reset, and the top 8 compete weeks 11 and 12. The top 4 advance, competing in weeks 13 and 14. From there, the top 2 move on to the "Championship Pairing" for weeks 15 and 16, while the bottom 2 head to the "Consolation Pairing". Other than the altered competition format, the rest of the league functions like typical leagues, with lineup submissions, roster moves, trades, etc. The "luck" of head-to-head scheduling is the only factor removed.

Omega Leagues – Omega Leagues are 72 team leagues, which are broken into six leagues of 12. Teams play each team in their league once in weeks 1 to 11, and then the top 4 teams advance to the 24 team Championship Bracket. The top eight seeds get first round byes and are guaranteed prize money. The Championship Bracket is played head to head until one team wins it all in week 16.

Keeper Leagues – 12 team head-to-head leagues that carry over 6 players from year to year, plus 2 Taxi Squad players. Owners determine which players to keep from year to year. Initial roster allocation is via Draft or Auction. The Annual Draft re-allocates players in the off-season. Rule variables include flex/no flex starting lineups, Basic, PPR, or Bonus scoring, and varying entry fees.

Playoff Leagues - 6 or 12 team leagues competing for the 4 weeks of the pro football playoffs. No transactions, no starting lineups - all players drafted score points through the duration of the playoffs. LIVE and SEMI-SLOW drafts take place between the end of the pro football season and prior to the first week of the playoffs.

$10,000 Playoff Challenge - The $10k Play-Off Contest is designed to test your ability to select the best fantasy football performers each week of the pro football play-offs. Each week, you will select 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D/ST, and 1 flex RB/WR/TE and receive their fantasy points for the week. You can select any players you wish each of the four weeks with no restrictions except for the positional requirements. You can change your players from week to week with no restrictions.
